A Blue Christmas...

I've always liked blue Christmas cards and decided on this design after purchasing these Marianne dies.
An easel card with an added fold at the bottom and the sentiment is on a Labels Nestie die. I used a snowflake CB embossing folder and the papers are last years Anita's. I used loads of stickles to give a really frosty look and added a few pearls too. Sorry for the terrible pic I broke my daylight lamp : (

Yesterday I was at the Craft show in the SECC and had a great day, spent too much as usual but I got everything I was looking for and a few extras....lol  I could have stayed all day.  Then in the evening I was at a 60th Birthday party  we had a great night but today I'm feeling shattered....thank goodness we got an extra hour in bed this morning I  really needed it.

Hopefully tomorrow I will have the day to myself and can have a play with my new stash.
Thanks for stopping by and also thanks for all the lovely comments recently I really appreciate them and love reading them.

Fizzy Moon...that bear again !!!

Well here he is again.......... my all time favourite little bear from Fizzy Moon, I use him a for lot special Birthdays and everyone just loves him.
This colour combo of pink and green is also one of my favourites. Paper is from my stash, I have used circle and oval nesties, Maranne heart die, Flower tree from Memory Box which I have dissected...lol and used as an accent on the side panels. Wild Orchid flowers, ribbon from my stash and the small heart charm is from Mei Flower.

I'm really looking forward to the weekend, I'm off to the SECC Craft show in Glasgow on Saturday with my two friends Elaine and Maureen. Hoping to get a new daylight bulb as I smashed my lamp the other night..
.Ooops : (  and I can't get a decent photo of my cards without it.
I'm sure I'll come back with a few other  "just can't live without" items...lol

Instead of a Sympathy card, something a little different

A colleague in my Husband's work lost her Uncle a few weeks ago and wanted something other than a Sympathy card to give to her Aunt just to let her know how much she loved her.
I remembered seeing this verse online a while back and made this card and box. She was delighted with it and asked me to make another one for her Cousin.

It's such a lovely verse and could be used for many different occasions. The little box is actually a Wedding favor box but I liked the shape and decided to use it. You can buy them online in a variety of places.
I used Stampendous image Flower Fields, coloured with chalks. Flowers, lace and pearls from WOC, paper is Botanicals and the heart was cut on my Craft Robo. Charm and ribbon are from Mei Flower.
I would love to hear you views on this set and if you think it's a nice alternative to a Sympathy card as my customer did.
Hugs

Hubby's birthday card

Hi, I hope your having a lovely Sunday wherever you are.
It's Hubby's birthday today and this is the card I made for him. I used my new fence die cut from Marianne Creatables, papers from Papermania Signature called Regency, Marianne corner, Raffia Lace, acouple of little garden charms and Nestie circle.
He's been doing rather a lot of work in the garden recently so I thought this image was just perfect. I'm not sure but I think it's from House Mouse, a friend gave me a few of them years ago.

That's it from me today, the family are coming over for dinner and my Son Matt has bought a large Pink French fancy  cake for his Dad , I think Niamh (2) is going to love it.

LOTV Posy Trio.....

Hi, I thought I'd share this nice cheery card with you tonight.
Papers are from Bearlymine and were free. The images are Posy Trio from LOTV and you can find them here I coloured them with Copics.
I just fell in Love with these cute little bears when I saw them...lol.
The Friendship Recipe is also LOTV and you can find that one here. Flowers and ribbon and the small butterfly charm are from my stash. I also used Oval and Circle Nesties, Cuttlebug Embossing folder and Sizzix Bigz die to cut the card shape. The butterfly border on the base of the card is actually a paper napkin ring, I saw these in our local Marshmallow shop( gift shop and Ice Cream parlour) and thought they would be quite nice on a card.

I haven't been entering many challenges of late but I found this Anything goes one below.

Thanks for popping in.

Glad you're back...

Hi!,  this is just a quick post to share this little card I was asked to make for a guy who was off work for a long time with a serious illness and is now returning. His colleagues wanted to welcome him back and all they wanted was this sentiment. Plain and simple..........Obviously he's an office worker (like myself) and I thought this image from DSB was just perfect. The papers are a mixture of Melissa Frances and Anita's Christmas Blue pad from a few years back. I just added some paper twine, candy dotted with a copic marker,a few paper clips and a small computer.
I've had such a lazy night and I really should be getting on with card orders but I just wasn't in the mood for crafting this evening.....I just seem to be very tired all the time these days I think it's the thought of Winter looming ahead......I hate it !! I'm a summer person and love the sunshine and heat and this awful weather just depresses me.  Unfortunately there's not a lot I can do to change it....lol  so I'll just keep thinking about my next holiday in the sun : )
Thanks for popping in
