WOJ Wedding Carriage....

At last!! my WOJ stamps have arrived. They must have got held up with the postal strike in Glasgow a few days ago. I've had a crafty day today, been playing around with my Craft Robo and cut out loads of flowers and borders. Stamping and colouring too. I made this wedding card tonight, not for anyone in particular so I haven't added any names to it yet.

Here's what I used.....

Image WOJ Wedding Carriage, Papers form my stash, Fiskars border punch Sunburst, Ribbon from Hobby Craft, Flowers the Works.

I'm entering this card in the Papertake weekly challenge as I used their sketch.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Magnolia and a flower...

Hi there!!! hope you are all enjoying the weekend. I've got the house to myself today so I'm crafting...

This card is for the Just Magnolia challenge and they are looking for a colour combo of Pink, Grey and the option to use Black. I found this fab flower on Julie's blog with a link to the Tutorial of how to make it here. So I had a go and I'm really pleased with the end result. I'll never be stuck for a flower again. Just do them in whatever colour you need, big or small. The grey papers are from Craft Creations and the pink dotted one came from a scrapbook set I bought a few years ago. The strawberry is from The Hobby House and of course the image is Tilda. Going to get a bite to eat now and then more crafting.... ooooh I'm enjoying myself...lol.

Thanks for visiting.

21st Birthday...2 cards...one for Sketch Saturday..

Two cards from me tonight both for the same girl. Her Mum asked me to do one from her brother and wanted something to do with elderly people as she works in a care home. She also wanted it funny.... the things people ask for....lol....So I came up with this one I gave it to her today and she loved it. Thank goodness!!!! I am also entering it into the Sketch Saturday challenge this week. The other card is from her parents so I used the FF bear with champagne as she loves bears. Well that's me for tonight off now to get a cuppa and some toast before bed.

Wedding and Pearl Anniversary...

I seem to be doing a lot of these lately.....Weddings Anniversaries and Christenings. I really like doing these cards 'cause you can use really special paper and card and lots of lovely embellishes. The Wedding card however is not what I intended... The reason being I ordered the WOJ Marriage stamp with the bride and groom in the carriage.....and guess what...It's not arrived yet and I don't have time to wait for it. WOJ have dispatched it so I can only guess that it's stuck somewhere in one of these stupid Postal disputed Offices. Glasgow being one of them...Grrr. Never mind I'll just have to be patient I suppose. Both of these cards have decoupage from Craft Creations, Pearl card also from CC and all the other embellishes are from my stash. I used the Cuttlebug Embossing folder Elegant swirls and Oval Nesties and the DP I really love and have used a lot lately is from the Signature range from Papermania called Regency. I just wish I had bought more than one pad.... Over at Stamp Something they want you to use your favourite colours or papers so I'm entering these cards there. I'm off to bed now as I have an early rise in the morning, I promised myself to get to bed before 12 for a change.

Thanks for visiting hope you all have a lovely week.

Dogs and a 70th Birthday...

Hi !! I'm back, computer all sorted!!!.
My son Matt fitted a new hard drive to my Laptop and put back all my applications . All I have to do is redo all the drivers for my software and everything will be back to normal. Phew!!! Thought for one scary moment I was going to have to buy a new computer!! So panic over and we're back crafting again.
I did this card a few days ago for my Friend Dorothy for a 70th Birthday for her friend who has two Black Labradors, hence the pic on the card. I Decoupaged the front dog to make is stand out a bit more. The DP is from HOTP, I used CB bark embossing folder on the brown paper and mounted the sentiment on to Labels 2 Nesties. The ribbon is from my stash, I Googled the image and went through hundreds of them but when I saw this one I loved it instantly.
Thanks for stopping by.

WOJ BIRTHDAY CARD AND GIFT BOX

Hi there hope you are all having a better Saturday than me.....: ( sob!! sob!!..... my poor laptop is sick! sick! sick!...... It crashed on me three times today and is making weird crackling noises. I've been getting messages saying my hard drive is about to terminate...OMG I've been in shock all day trying to get the stupid thing to open Windows so that I could back up some files. Finally at tea time I managed to get it going and I now have to go into Glasgow tomorrow and buy a new hard drive. Matt my son, knows all about these things and I trust him, so he will fit it for me and hopefully all will be well again. I have orders to do for Tuesday and I really need my computer. Fingers crossed it works for the rest of the evening and I can get some stuff done. I'm scared to switch it off in case I can't get it going again....

Right now on to my card... I found this one in the card file and realised I never put it on the blog. I made it for my friend Maureen's birthday a few weeks ago. I also altered a little box that I had, and matched it to the card and put in some flowers and charms and stuff for her cards. I'm pleased to say she really loved it. The DP is from the Signature range and is called Regency, the image is Kneeling Willow from the WOJ spring collection. Oval Nesties, flowers are a mix of Poppicraft and Prima and the charm is from the Hobby House. The embossing is CB Elegant Swirls folder. The ribbons are from my stash.
Sorry for the long post and thanks for reading my moans....lol Hope I have a much better day tomorrow!!!!.

First Tri-Fold Card..... UPDATE....

AN UPDATE TO THIS POST..........I'VE BEEN ASKED HOW TO MAKE THIS CARD. SO HERE IS THE BLOG WHERE I FOUND THE INSTRUCTION.

Hi everybody hope you all had a lovely weekend we had sunshine right through for a change, it was lovely. This card was for a female who plays Bowls and it was for her 70th Birthday...Ever since I saw these cards I've wanted to have a go at one and decided to do this Female bowling card with the Tri fold. I searched for hours for a decent female bowling pic and couldn't find one that I liked enough so I used this plain image that I've had for years. As you can see is not very feminine and I didn't want it on the front of the card so the tri-fold was just perfect for it.
It was very well received by the girl who ordered it, so much so that she paid me more than I asked and she has given me another order for her Son's 30th birthday. So I think I can safely say it was a success. Phew!!! I always worry when I do a new design that people won't like it as much as I do.
So here's what I used.......Labels 2 Nesties, Image is a decoupage from FGS Creative Designs, various peel offs, X cut small heart punch, flowers from Poppicraft, and the DP is Small Dots from Craft Creations. I absolutely love this paper it's so versatile you can use it on any kind of card. I've got a few more cards to post later tonight when I get them finished. Have a lovely day wherever you are and thanks for popping in.

APRON CARD......2 challenges.

A fun card made for an order for a guy who is a Chef and loves doing BBQ's as well. I hope he likes it...fingers crossed. Not much to it really as you can see. Just stuck on a bottle and glasses and made some cutlery to go in the pocket. I made something similar for my Son Matt's 21st as he's a BBQ fan as well. A guy card with a difference. I am entering this one into Papertake weekly as they want you to "fake it". Well there is faux stitching all round the apron so I think that counts and Inky Impressions are also looking for Faux stitching.

*******************************

This card is part of the same order for above. This one is for the couples 10th Wedding Anniversary. So I put a metal charm on as the 10th Anniversary is supposed to be tin/ metal. The papers are PM Raspberry Champagne, image is FF coloured of course with my Copics,I used oval Nesties and CB embossing folder , elegant Swirls. The heart charm is from the Works. Large heart punch from Woodware. Ribbon John Lewis. Of now to do another card and hopefully some blog hoping round all your fab entries to this week Charisma challenge which is 'Patchwork'.
