Pink Gem Santa...and 3 challenges

Hello everyone, yet another Christmas card.............I've got a real shortage of Santa stamps this year, in fact I only have this one....sob sob.. It's from Pink Gem and I got it last year . I was hooked on Snowmen for a while and didn't think I wanted Santa's.....and now I've changed my mind Typical!!!... I'll have to get a good Santa stamp .......I wanted to do something in traditional colours today and came up with this. It fits the Everybody Art challenge .. Christmas---the Creative Card Crew which is favourite things...Easel cards and Christmas are mine. and the Colour Create challenge which is Red Green and White.

Here's what I used.....Papers Dovecraft, Image Pink Gem Santa, Tree punch and Snowflake punch and the Poinsettia is cut on my Craft robo. I put it together with a gold brad and then I soaked it in water so that I could scrunch it up a wee bit. I haven't done much card making this weekend so I'll have to get my skates on tomorrow and get some birthday cards done. Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Beer drinking Santa for a 19 yr old guy

Hi again, I managed another couple of Christmas cards tonight, one for a 19yr old guy , hence the beer...... and the other one is for a Special Gran and Grandad for my friend Susan in work. It looks so much nicer in real life. It's really difficult to photograph mirri card as you probably know, I don't know how many I took just to get one that didn't glow with the light...

Thanks for stopping by.

Gaelic card.....

Hello again, another card this time for a very patriotic guy who speaks Gaelic. I was asked to put the Gaelic on the card for Congratulations which is on the front and Happy Birthday which is inside...ooops forgot to take a photo.... and either a Saltire, which is what I've used (the Scottish flag ...) or the Lion Rampant. I decided on the Saltire as I thought it was a better colour for the card. People ask me for the strangest cards....lol
I'm on a roll today...catch you later...

Ruby Red.....

Hello everyone, I finally made it back to my craft room to post this card. Ive had a very lazy day today, just couldn't be bothered doing anything, not like me at all.....
My friend Maureen asked if I would make her a 40th Anniversary card for her to give to her Husband. I've used the FF celebration bear, Martha Stewart punch,Oval Nesties inside and out. The white card is satin Water Taffeta effect. The red card has a satin effect and is embossed with hearts all over, It's really lovely,I think you can see it if you zoom in on the inside pic. The ribbon is Dovecraft and the charm is from Craft Creations. The silver 40th was cut on my Craft Robo. The rest is from my stash. I gave her the card last night and she was really pleased with it.
I've got loads to do this weekend so I'd better get on with it, I think I might do a little colouring to get me started. Have a great weekend.

Twilight card...

Mmmm delish Edward Cullen, this is the vampire card I spoke about yesterday. Got it finished last night but never had time to put it on here, so here he is. The birthday girl Danielle is into Vampires and Twilight hence the card. I hope she likes it. At first I thought it was going to be too dark being purple and black, but surprisingly I really liked it . I really enjoyed making this one and I think it's because I was using totally different colours...
All the papers I've had for years in my stash. The flowers are poppicraft. I used Glimmer mist on them but I don't think you can see it very well in the pic. I really like this double image photo I don't think it would have looked as good with just an ordinary picture. Well I'm off to bed now. I'll be back tomorrow with more cards. TTFN

Tatty Bouquet......

Here we are again second post for me today with another card for the same retirement. This time I chose a lovely soft pink and Raspberry papers. The girl in work who asked me to do the card asked for "Something nice and pretty" I hope she likes it. Well I'm off now to do a Vampire card...lol...the delish Edward Cullen from the Twilight series, I really enjoyed sourcing those images...lol.. I'll post it later if I manage to get it finished.

thanks for popping in....

Just Blue........

Hi there I was asked to do a few retirement cards this week and this is the first. Hadn't any ideas at all colour wise, then I saw a beautiful card on Sassy's blog which just gave me the inspiration I was looking for. I loved this shade of blue the minute I saw it. I've been really short of blue papers lately and went hunting through my stash but unfortunately I had nothing suitable. So I made some striped paper on Publisher I staggered the stripes. I quite enjoyed making my own backing paper I must try and get the time to do more....Then I matched up the roses and ribbon, eventually it all came together. So a great big thanks to Sassy . Please go and visit her blog it's really beautiful, her work is so inspiring.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my little corner of blog land.....

PURPLE MANGA SUGAR NELLIE......5 challenges

Hi everyone hope you are all having a lovely weekend. I've got a few cards to post but only have this one photographed at the moment. It fits five challenges. Phew !!! it's along time since I managed that many challenges on one card.
Secret Crafter are looking for the four Seasons, pick one or use all four, so I picked Winter. Next up is Cupcake craft and they want Snow or snowflakes, so I've got plenty of them.....and then we have Cute Card Thursday and they want loads of Sparkle....and my card has Stickles on every snowflake and on my Image too. Creative card challenges are looking for Christmas Fun..and this little Manga is all dressed up and having fun. Crafty Creations challenges are also looking for Snow.
As usual the colour looks different here it should be Purple. I hate photographing Purples and lilacs as they always come out looking blue. Still not bought that Daylight bulb....so it's my own fault I suppose...
So here's what I used:-
Image...Baubles from Sugar Nellie at Funky Kits, and I coloured her with Copics
Papers are Forever Friends
Snowflakes are Sizzix and various other punches.
Ribbon from stash
Oval Nesties.
Easel shape card.

Thanks to everyone who has joined my challenge this week over at Charisma, it's a pity I can't join in myself...this card would be perfect for Merry & Bright...lol.

Here's that Ted ...again...

If you didn't know already...I love Teds. I've been collecting them all my life and have them in cupboards and drawers all over the house. So I really love ted stamps as well, especially the FF range, I think they're so cute and really versatile. I've used this stamp loads of times for different cards and as you can see this time I used him for an Engagement card for my Nephew and his Fiance. I think I went a bit mad with the Stickles...he he.... Not to worry sparkle is nice...and it should flatten down a bit as it dries.
Well It's getting late and I'm up early for work so I'll love you and leave you. Thanks for popping in.

Easel Footie Card....plus link....

Hi again !!!! my third post today...that must be a record for me...lol.. Right on to the card. As you can see it's an easel card. I'm really enjoying doing these and I think they are just perfect for guy cards. Don't know if it fits any challenges yet as I've not had time to look but I don't mind either way. This is for my friend Susan she asked me to do it for her Son who is 16 this week. The most difficult cards to make I think are teenage boys.......but... using the Easel shape I think works for this design and I'm really pleased with the result.

Here's the recipe:-

Footie paper I've had for years...sorry don't know who makes it. I Googled the footie boots image, ran green pearlised card through the happy birthday CB emboss folder and used my circle Nesties to mount the 16. I've added a black brad at the bottom center to help it stand up and added a little button football, I removed the shank with scissors and stuck it to the base.
I just love having Mondays off I can craft all day.... thanks for all your lovely comments recently I really appreciate every one....happy crafting...

Tatty Ted 50th B/Day...

Another card for a 50th Birthday. I used HOTP papers and Pearlised Cardstock and I have embossed a line all round the card. Image is Tatty Ted wrapping paper which has been cut three times and decoupaged, then glittered with Stickles Diamond and mounted with circle Nesties. I used MS Lace Doily punch and Anita's ribbon. The sketch I used is #12 from Vee's Sketch Pad which is one of Elaine's layouts. There's a new sketch up today why not pop over and have a look.

Grab a sketch.......#17

Morning everyone!!!, just a short post to let you know there's a new sketch over on my other blog Vee's Sketch Pad for you to play with.

Hope you are all having a lovely Monday, the sun is shining in Scotland today and we've had a heavy frost overnight so a wee bit chilly. Time to get my winter coat out I think.....I have a couple of cards to finish today so I'll post them on here later.

Thanks for poping in and don't forget to link your card to the blog if you use the sketch, I'd love to see what you make with it.

GOLFING GOOF.... EASEL CARD.....

Hi !! hope you are all having a fab week whatever your doing. I've just finished this card tonight for my friend Marie in work.
This decoupage is called Golfing Goof and is part of the Paper Laughs series. I've done a few cards for her in the last couple of weeks and she really likes these characters. The other ones were from the Golden Oldies range of Decoupage papers.
This is the first time I've made an Easel card and I must say I loved doing it and I will def be doing more. The papers I used are Basic Grey and were just perfect for the grassy look I wanted. I embossed a circle for the golf ball with the age, and used the de-boss side up. On another piece of the dec ....not on the card..... I was playing around with some white flower soft and put it on his moustache and he looked like Santa playing golf...lol....... so I decided just to use some stickles instead.
Thanks for taking the time to visit I really appreciate it, I'm off now to see if it fits any challenges. TTFN...
It fit with this weeks ABC Challenge which is the colour green.
