Christmas Crafting @ Charisma........

Hi! This week it's my turn again to set the challenge over at Charisma and I decided on
Christmas Crafting.
Now that can be any kind of crafting you like, not necessarily a card.
For my DT project I made a card and I decorated a candle which I will possibly add to a table decoration at Christmas time.
The image I used for the card is from WOJ, Wee and Christmas Tree I coloured it with Copics and added some small pearls to the tree. The papers are from Dovecraft called Christmas Traditional and they are some I had left over from last year. I used the CB folder Snowflakes added a poinsettia cut on my Robo and a border also cut on the Robo. The sentiment is also part of last years stash.
The candle was decorated with wired ribbon and shop bought Poinsettias secured with pearl headed pins and I added some gold mesh material too.
I hope you can join in with our challenge this week, as always we have a fab sponsor and a great prize on offer to the winner.
Look forward to seeing your projects again this week.

Anything goes at Charisma

Well there's no excuse for you not to enter this weeks challenge.....this week the theme is
ANYTHING GOES
I'm still not able to colour or hold stuff properly so this week my DT inspiration for you is a 3D bookmark. I've had this lying around for a few weeks and I had planned on making a few more for extra little Christmas gifts. It's really easy to make.
You will notice that one side is a bit flatter than the other this is the side that goes into the book so that you don't mark the pages when the book is closed. Both ends are double sided and you can see the 3D side in the 2nd pic. Adding a larger brad also adds a little bit of weight and makes it hang better.

I hope you like my little offering this week, don't forget to pop over to the Charisma to see all the other fab creations from our lovely DT and see the great prizes from our sponsors this week.

If you have the time I'd love to hear your comments on this little bookmark.

Thanks for popping in

Top Tip Tuesday....

Hi there, I've been trying to think of some tips to add to Leanne's challenge blog
Top Tip Tuesday and thought I'd add this one.

I used to find it very difficult to get my clear border stamps straight on the acrylic block as they are so very flexible I now use this method and it works every time.

Using the grid on your cutting mat line up the block ensuring that it is sitting straight on the lines.

Now place your clear stamp on the block lining it up with the grid underneath.

I hope little tip is of use to someone.

Thanks for your visit to my blog today and don't forget if you have any tips that you use why not pop over to Top Tip Tuesday and share them with everyone. There are fab prizes to be won every week and you can pick up some Top tips from other crafters.
Happy crafting

A little clear out.....

Hello again, not been on much this week 'cause it takes me ages to do a post with one hand.

However I had a little clear out of some stamps the other day and decided to put some on Ebay, so I've just finished doing it and thought I'd put a link here to the PB Christmas one for anyone who might be interested. The others are nearly all single ones except for a few.

Above is a pic of my desk this week. I've been searching through pics of my Grandsons so that I can do a little scrapbooking when this plaster comes off. Just thought I could do some of the time consuming ground work just now to save me time later. I never realised how many pics I actually have, there are literally thousands on my computer and also a huge box full as well. It's been great fun looking at them all and remembering them when they were little.
It's just so difficult choosing the ones I want as they're all so cute.....lol

Thanks for your visit today and I hope you have a great week ahead.

Charisma have a sketch this week....

Good morning, well here we are again another week flown by....This time we have a fab sketch for you from the lovely Carly.
My DT card for this week again had to be simple. Due to the fact that I am unable to colour at the moment I decided to use one of my Digi Stamp Boutique images which as you can see is just black, so that set the design and I went for Monochome.

Tools...Martha Stewart Punch and x cut corner punch
Image.. Modern Flower DSB
Flowers and sentiment from stash
Brads are Papermania from the Glitter Pot
DP is a download, sorry can't remember where from
NO RIBBON..AHHH can't wait till I can tie a bow again...lol.. my cards seem empty without ribbon.
Please take time to pop over to Charisma and view the fab creations for your inspiration from our very talented Design Team.
Another 2 weeks to go before I get this plaster off, I think I'll go crazy by then, thanks for popping in.

CHARISMA...SOMETHING YOU'VE NEVER DONE BEFORE...

Hi there, please bear with me this week as i'm doing this one handed. My right hand and arm are in plaster for the next 4 weeks due to an accident in the kitchen when some dinner plates fell onto my hand and it appears that i've broken the sciphoid bone. It's still very painfull but hopefully it will settle down soon. They have made my thumb rigid and I cant hold anything. Spent all of Monday between doctors an hospital now i'm off work for 4 weeks. Not too bad as i'll still have plenty of time when it comes off to get my Christmas cards done..i hope.

My card this week was put together with bits already done and just lying around.
The base card is from my Christmas box from last year along with the poinsettia.
The white card was punched out a couple of weeks ago when I bought the Martha Stewart punch around the page Christmas set from QVC......glad I had a we play with it now..lol so this is my something I've never done before. Just had a though I've never made a card one handed before either.
The image is a die cut called Rosie and Alfie Christmas from Kanban cards. Sorry about the simplicity of my card this week but I didn't want to let the Charisma team down by not doing anything for the challenge so it had to be simple as i'm struggling with one hand, I'll haveto teach my Son how to tie bows...lol.
Thanks for your visit today, happy crafting

I managed to find a challenge for this card

THE BEST LAID PLANS....

Hi again, my day has been a disaster since I posted my card earlier today.
Went to the docs to get a second x-ray done on my hand which I hurt last week and it turns out I've broken the Sciphoid bone and he sent me to the A & E dept of our local hospital to have it plastered. I now have a plaster from hand to elbow and I am typing this with my left hand...lol. very slowly.... I've spent the entire afternoon waiting around and finally gotthe plaster on in about 5 minutes. So the cards I was going to make today never happened. I've to go back in four weeks but hopefully I'll figure out a way to do some crafting left handed...lol this is going to drive me mad.....
and to make matters even worse.......if that's possible... my lovely Hubby just bought me a Copic Airbrush system which I'm dying to have a go at and now I can't even hold the blooming thing...grrrrr now I'm really frustrated..............but I'm not giving up I'll find a way.
Hope your daywas better than mine

Blue for you....

Good Monday Morning to you, it's not too bad here weather wise today and I've got a whole day to myself woohoo!!
I've been off work all week finishing off the bathroom tiling, done at last...Phew!! and I'm exhausted. Just a few we finishing touches to do that can be done any time.
The bath panel needs adjusting as we raised the bath it needs to be higher which causes problems 'cause it's a p shape bath and the only way to do it is to buy another panel and put the two together and cut it to size, not going to be easy but I'm sure we'll figure a way round it. Anyway enough of my waffling.
While I was off my friend asked me to make a card for her to give to her Hubby on his Birthday and this is the card I made. It's a very simple design.
I used the gorgeous Making Memories paper that I got in a bargain from TK Max the other week, I love this paper it's fabulous. I Googled the car pic, it's an Audi for those interested in that stuff, and of course it's an Easel card. I used a CB embossing folder and Labels 2 Nesties, the brads are from the Glitter Pot ages ago in one of their sales.
Hope you like it, hopefully I'll get some time to play today and have another couple of cards to show later on.
Have a lovely day
