Wedding Day.....

Hi there, this card is for my Nephew and his Wife to be, who are being married tomorrow. I have used one of my favourite images from LOTV and coloured it with Copics. Almost everything on this card is from my stash, papers, the ribbon, flowers, die cut sentiment, lace and crystals. I have used silver mirri card and Oval Scalloped Nesties. The only embellishments that are new are the fabulous metal corners from the Hobby House .
It's getting late now and I  still have loads to organize for tomorrow, just checked the weather forecast and it looks as though it's to be nice in the afternoon...fingers crossed.
I've got a busy weekend ahead, the wedding tomorrow and a 60's cabaret night on Saturday and of course Mother's day on Sunday, I think I'd better get some beauty sleep now I need all I can get...lol
Thanks for popping in ....have a lovely weekend.

Top Tip Tuesday challenge.... Nature inspired

Hello everyone!!   this is a scheduled post as I am at work today so I hope blogger behaves and puts it up at the correct time....
This weeks tutorial at Top Tip Tuesday is
POLISHED STONE TECHNIQUE (the 'old' way)
My DT buddy Paula has prepared a picture tut for you to follow. Please pop over and have a look it's a great way to make your backing papers.  The challenge therefore is
NATURE INSPIRED......
My DT card this week is a Gate Fold card, I haven't made this style of card for years. I found some cards that I used for wedding invites a couple of years ago and decided to have a go at one again. You might be seeing quite a few in the near future as I found loads of them.
Here is the recipe....
Image.....  Daisy Girl from Digi Doodle Shop coloured with Copics
Papers..... Rose Garden Papermania and a small piece from Henbury Lane
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts,  as I didn't have the right shade of blue I coloured white roses  with my Copics to match the image.
The inside of the card is decorated with the same papers and I have added a small sentiment from the Rose garden paper stack.
I hope you will take part in our challenge this week and of course don't forget to add your Top Tip to your post if you have one. The prizes as always are yummy.
Looking forward to seeing all your fabulous projects this week.
Thanks for popping in.........

Sugar Bowl challenge

Hello again!! 2 posts in one day Wow!! I'm having a day off from work...can you tell..ha ha
I am entering this card into the CLEAN AND SIMPLE challenge at the Sugar Bowl and I have used Lillian's fab sketch.
I was at the SECC craft show on Saturday with my two friends Elaine and Maureen and we stopped by the Sugar Nellie stand and had a lovely chat with Gayle. So I decided it was time I entered a few challenges again, it's been months since I did any and what better one to get started with than the Sugar Bowl. I love the Sugar Nellie range of stamps and have been a fan for years.
For this card I have used the same image as the last post, Joy Sitting, I have coloured her with Copics and cut her out. The DP is Bearly Mine Shabby Vintage, and I used the swiss dots Embossing folder. As the theme for this challenge is Clean and Simple I held back on the embellishments,  it wasn't easy I can tell you, I'm so used to piling stuff onto my cards.
I'm off now to sew some curtains and put up a new curtain pole. Loads of other stuff to do as well I just can't seem to get ahead with anything at the moment, hence the reason for an extra day off work.
Thanks for your visit today, Happy crafting

Top Tip Tuesday challenge.....Birthday celebrations and a fab gift box tutorial ..

Good morning everyone, today's tutorial over at Top Tip Tuesday is from Heike and she has made a lovely gift box. So easy to do you could make a few in one night, would be fabulous little boxes for Easter coming up or for any occasion.
Also this week our challenge is Birthday Celebrations ,it doesn't have to be a box you can  make what you like as long as it follows the challenge theme
.Just a little reminder...... Can I also ask that everyone checks that they have followed the challenge theme and also that you have linked back to the Top Tip Tuesday blog. It's very easy to forget.... but in the event that your creation does not follow the rules I'm afraid we have no choice but to remove it from the draw, in fairness to the other entrants.
For my DT creation this week I followed Heike's fabulous tutorial and made this little box. I have used Labels 2 Nesties, Making Memories paper, flowers and ribbon from Wild Orchid crafts  and the gorgeous image is a Simly Adorable Digi Stamp from Funky Kits called Joy Sitting. I just love these images!!!
I hope you like my little box and don't forget to pop over to Top Tip Tuesday and see all the other fab creations that our lovely DT have made for your inspiration.
