Hi everyone, I'm just having a we break from making Baby cards and though I'd share this Engagement card with you. The image is from Fizzy Moon and is coloured with Copics. The paper was a free download but I'm sorry I can't remember where from. The die cuts are Nesties and Marianne Creatables. The metal corner, ribbon and flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts. The heart was cut on my Craft Robo. Looks like I've had the file for years and never knew I had it..lol I think it will be used a lot now.
I really liked this card when I finished it and I hope you like it too. Have a nice weekend and I hope you come back soon.

Good morning !!
My DT card for this weeks challenge is as simple as it gets. I used a swirl image and sentiment from HOTP and added a little bling and a metal corner from Wild Orchid Crafts. I embossed a line along two sides and that's it.
Lots of NEGATIVE SPACE which is exactly what we are looking for this week. If your looking for some inspiration our Charisma Gals have created some gorgeous cards again for you this week, so why not pop over and have a look. As always we have fabulous prizes from our sponsors and of course we have our Top Three winners too.

School Days !!! Mo Manning

Hi, today my cards are for my two Grandsons. Christopher who is just starting school and Daniel who knows the ropes and is going into Primary 2...lol.
They've grown up so fast I can hardly believe it. The schools in our part of Scotland go back on Wednesday and Christopher has changed his mind now and says he's not going...lol   Kids !!!!
This is what I used..
Image is Dundee from Mo Manning. so cute..
Book Worm is from Eliz. Dulemba
both coloured with Copics and Prisma pencils.
the pencil Sentiment is hand made
Paper brads, string and button from my stash
The little bubble alpha stickers I bought in Tesco
I have added a little Car button 'cause Christopher is mad about cars....

******************

This one is for Daniel. This time I used an image of tie that I've had for years, coloured with Copics in the school colours ( I hope he's impressed...lol) I have attached it with a piece of acetate to make it springy......I tried to take a close up of the acetate fixing but my camera died on me, so I will attempt it again when the camera is fully charged.
The paper is a download and was black and white to start with so I altered it in Picasa to match the school colours.
Again the pencil sentiment is handmade and the backpack is a piece of clip art.
Daniel got the crafty Gene and loves making stuff, every time he comes in he says "What are we making today Grannie?" and loves being in my craft room, so I know he will love having a handmade card.
Thanks for your visit today, happy crafting !

Camera charged up now so here is a pic of the acetate fixer on the back of the tie. It is folded in a W shape.

Say NO!! TO HUGE SHIPPING CHARGES..........

I found this link on Bevs' blog and totally agree with what Donalda says. Lets stop these companies ripping everyone off and avoid using them. There are plenty of good honest craft sites out there to use.
Visit Donalda's blog and read her story.

LOTV Little girls swing time

My two younger Sons had a guys night watching  movies an doing the Xbox so I decided to do some crafting and this is what I made.
The image is from the free LOTV stack in a  mag last month and it has been coloured with Prismacolor pencils. the papers are from Amethyst.... Papermania, flowers and metal corners from Wild Orchid Crafts and ribbon from stash. Sentiment is also LOTV.
Not for anyone in particular just for fun.Sorry about the picture quality I'll take better pics in the daylight tomorrow.
Thanks for popping in.

Finally I managed to get a pic that shows the true colours on this card, the mauve's and lilacs are really rich and the first set of pics just did not show it properly as they were photographed  with indoor lighting. This is much better. :)

First day at School..

Hi ! 2nd post today....OMG haven't been able to do that in ages...lol

This card is a commission for First Day at School card and I was asked to put a Fairy Princess on it. The image I've used was Free in the Cardmaking and Papercraft Mag ages ago but I think you can still download it from their site. There are five Fairy images all in different poses and as they are digi's you can re size them.I coloured it with Copics and Spectrum Noir pens, and blitzed it with Diamond Stickles, Well!! you cant have a Fairly Princess without Fairy dust now can you...?
Papers are downloads from ages ago, the alpha stickers are from Tesco, the school stickers were free also with a mag ages ago and the chip board flowers from the Works.
I hope the little Princess that it's going to enjoys her card.
Thanks for popping into my blog today and I hope you have a safe and happy weekend ahead.

Distress those projects @ Charisma this week.....

Good morning !!!!
This week is the first time you will see Inspiration from the newly revamped Team Gem! and we want to see Distressing on your projects!!
I'm on Carly's team but I just had to have another go at distressing again. It's been ages since I did this technique and I thoroughly enjoyed making this card.

I have used an image from one of our sponsors this week Some Odd Girl the image is called Head in the Clouds, isn't she cute. I coloured her with Copics and Spectrum Noir pens. They blend really well with each other.
Papers are Rose Garden from Papermania, flowers from my stash and I bought that fabulous glitter organza ribbon from a store at Trago Mills in Devon a few weeks ago while on holiday. I got a bit carried away and bought loads of ribbon and trimming, it's very well priced, I was like a kid in a sweet shop....lol
The Pearls are from The Hobby House and the little sentiment is from LOTV (I think!!, can't find the packet...oops)
If you have time please go and see the amazing distressed creations from our lovely Charisma Gals on the challenge blog.

Our lovely Sponsors this time are...

PRIZE ONE

5 digis of the winners choice from the Stamping Boutique!
and.....

PRIZE TWO
digital stamps
Three Digis of the winners choice from Some Odd Girl!!

I'm looking forward to seeing all of your distressed projects this week and hoping to learn a few techniques along the way. One of the many things I love about being on the DT @ Charisma  is that I get to see all of your fab creations and lovely blogs each week.

Anniversary...Cream and Gold.

A closer view of the flowers and the lovely Gold beaded stems.

This Golden Anniversary card is a commission and I was asked to use the couple's wedding photo on the card. After a lot of thought I decided to change the photo in my computer and made it Sepia instead of Black and White as it was originally. It just looked a whole lot better with the cream and gold colours.
The only paper I used is the Happy Anniversary Vellum on the base of the card. The card stock itself has a lovely golden hue to it, but unfortunately the photo of the card doesn't show it at all. Shame really as it looks lovely in real life.
I have used metal corners, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Lace, ribbon and pearls from my stash
Nesties and Marianne Creatables die cuts
Gold beaded stems from John Lewis

It's been ages since I entered any challenges so with that in mind I had a wee look around and found  three.

(my New is the Beaded Stem and old is my Nesties)
C.R.A.F.T ........Anniversary
(had a problem with Mr Linky on this one so not sure if I'm in the challenge or not)

I have another to make this time for a Ruby wedding, also using a Wedding photo I will show it in the next few days.  Thanks so much for your visit hope you enjoyed being here.

LOTV and my new Spectrum Noir pens.....

I had a wee play with my new Spectrum Noir pens tonight and made this card with a LOTV image called Me and My Cat, isn't she cute !!......the image is from the  ready stamped LOTV stack free with this months Papercraft Inspirations mag. I used DP from Forever Friends Pink Parfait, sentiment from Molly Blooms,Nesties and flowers, buttons and ribbon from my stash.

These pens are the same size as the Copic Sketch and a double ended with a fine tip and a chisel tip. They blend beautifully with Copics and Promarkers and the different shades are really nice. I still LOVE my Copics...lol but this now gives me a few more shades of each colour for blending. I bought four packs of six pens in Pink, Blue, Green and Brown and I'm really pleased with the colours and I got a free little bag to keep them in. You can also buy other packs of pastel shades and other colours but these are the ones I thought I would use most.
I'm off now to colour some more, thanks for popping in it's lovely to have visitors...
