POLLYCRAFT CHALLENGE....

Hi everyone hope you are all having a lovely weekend. This is my take on the Pollycraft sketch and challenge.http://pollycraftchallengeblog.blogspot.com/ You have to use at least one Pollycraft element in your design. They are also looking for a new DT member with this challenge. If you would like to be considered just combine the sketch and a Pollycraft design be it a download, backing paper, or stamped image the choice is yours and let them know in your comment that you are interested. Pop along and have a wee browse through the DT cards on show, they are all so different. I have used a download and papers. I also used punched snowflakes and added red buttons, and a felt holly.The sentiment is a stamp from the Anita range. The image is Wilbur Woof for Winter isn't he sooo cute....Within the download you get the coloured images and also images to colour yourself. He has a little friend called Albert also a download . I'll have a card with Albert later on to show you... Thanks for popping in.

Dufex decoupage...

This I would say is a bit more traditional. I embossed the right side of the red card and stamped gold snowflakes on the left. The decoupage is from Dufex, it really catches the light but was very difficult to photograph, I added a felt ponsettia and again there is room left for the sentiment to be added later. I like this one... I love the colours and the different textures. Hope you like it too. This is also for an order. I'm dreaming....

The stamped image on this card is from Cuddly budly "I'm dreaming" I coloured him with water colours and copics. I added an embossed panel using cb snowflakes folder and added a snowflake, cut with my Robo. The sentiment is also a stamp from Cuddly Buddly. Again I've left the bottom left for the greeting , this card is also for an order. Hope you like it.

Ted with stocking...

Ted with stocking : Embossed card from Lakelands ( last year),I added lace with silver ribbon threaded through. The image is from Cuddly Buddly I decoupaged it and mounted on an oval embossed with CB snowflakes emb.folder. The BIG snowflake is suspended from a xmas tree brad. The snowflake was on some liquid soap I bought last week....waste nothing..lol.. and then I added another piece of ribbon.

PTW DAWNY'S SKETCH #3

This is my card for the Papertake Weekly Challenge. I used spot bps a free download, cb emboss folder snowflakes, and my little friend Pip and Presents. The large snowflake is a sizzix die but they no longer produce it but they have replaced it with another double die which is really nice too. Claire's 30th

This one is for my friend Margaret, her Daughter Claire will be 30 next week. I made a double card this time using papers from Dovecraft Glamour prints. The image is by Penny Black and again I added a few charms, flowers and fibres from my stash. The greeting circle was made in Publisher on my computer. Very girly.......

Hi there I made this card last week but I couldn't show it on here until Kate's birthday which was yesterday. I used my fav image Claudia and some bp's from my stash added a few fibres and charms I used a silver embossing pad for accents. Thanks for looking hope you like it.

Hi everyone happy Saturday to you all. This is the card I made for my Mother -in-Law's 80th Birthday. You can't see it very well but the ribbon says MUM on it. I've never made a bookatrix before although I've had the board for ages. I hope she likes it. My sister-in-law is having a party tonight in her house for her and hopefully I'll feel up to going. This chest infection is not getting any better, even after a week on antibiotics, I'm really fed up with this cough....think I'll have to go back to the doc again.... : (

PB Images....

Hi again, my friend Elaine gave me these fab images at the weekend and this lovely wallet card just thought I'd share them with you, hopefully sometime this week I'll get time to play with them.....They are mostly PB images which I've always been meaning to get around to buying so I'm really excited and can't wait to colour them. We decided a few months ago to start a little swap with each other and.......as usual I forgot...(too much going on in my life at the moment) so I was really surprised when Elaine gave me this on Friday they are so cute!!!

ASDA BARGAIN STORAGE...

Hope you are all having a nice evening, I just thought I'd pass on this little bargain that my clever Hubby got in Asda last night. As you can see it's got four storage boxes each 11'' x 7'' (I still work in inches..lol..) they fit nicely into the black box and the red bit in front is a handle for carrying. I'ts a Black and Decker little bits box. I took the label off.... The best bit is it only cost £4......YES!!!! £4..... Great for all those tiny embelishments and gems, not to mention beads, sequins.....the list goes on. Don't know if all the stores have them and it was reduced but hubby said there were lots, so hurry and grab yourself a wee bargain....

Hi there hope you are all well I've had a terrible weekend with the flu bug ugh!!I feel as if I've been hit by a bus. Every year my boys tell me to go for the flu jab and I never do....more fool me....next year I certainly will.
Today I made a card for an order for a wee boy who loves planes. I used the images and BP's from the crafter's companion CD men's collection 1. I nearly threw this CD out a couple of weeks ago 'cause I never really liked any of the stuff on it. ... just goes to show you should never part with anything...lol hope you like it.

Card from Auntie Dorothy

These are the most difficult cards I've ever had to make. Little Kieran was born on the 17th November 2007 but sadly died only hours later. His Mum asked if I could make a First Birthday card that could be put by his graveside. I cried every time I tried to make it, but eventually managed it. I actually made two, one from his Auntie Dorothy too, my pal in work. I had to make the design as flat as I could so that I could laminate them to protect against the weather. I've asked her permission to show them on here and she has very kindly agreed. If you can, please read the verse on the insert his Mum gave me to put on, it's beautiful..

13th Birthday

Hi everyone, my Mum got home from hospital yesterday and is a lot better, so I'm back crafting again...This is a card I made for an order for a girl in work.. It's got stickles on it as well but I did that after I took the pic...(heads still not working...lol) It's very pink but that's what she wanted.

Back at last...

Sorry I've not been around for a while but I've been running up and down to the hospital to see my Mum every night. I just haven't had time to do much crafting at all and William and I had our Fancy Dress night out on Saturday. We had a fantastic night and everyone was dressed up. Some of the costumes were really brilliant, I've posted a pic of us in our fancy dress costumes William was the Gangster and I was his Flapper Girl....lol.. William's costume was easy to do just had to get him a white tie and a Fedora Hat. He had a pinstipe suit on and a black shirt. It looked quite good I thought. Mine was a dress I bought 15 or so years ago I wore it once and it's been in the wardrobe in a zip bag. The dress was plain except for the top which has a diagonal silver stripe,( which you can't really see in the pic), so I bought fringing and put it on the top and round the bottom below the hips. Put V shape down the middle 'cause it looked a bit empty. Had on my long beads, gloves, fish nets and feather hair band. My friend gave me the red feather boa , and I was molting feathers all night long. Every where I went I had a trail of red feathers behind me...lol. Didn't get home till the wee small hours. Fab night!!!! This pic was taken at the start of the night... before the drink started to flow...lol
