Pink Gem Santa...and 3 challenges

Hello everyone, yet another Christmas card.............I've got a real shortage of Santa stamps this year, in fact I only have this one....sob sob.. It's from Pink Gem and I got it last year . I was hooked on Snowmen for a while and didn't think I wanted Santa's.....and now I've changed my mind Typical!!!... I'll have to get a good Santa stamp .......I wanted to do something in traditional colours today and came up with this. It fits the Everybody Art challenge .. Christmas---the Creative Card Crew which is favourite things...Easel cards and Christmas are mine. and the Colour Create challenge which is Red Green and White.

Here's what I used.....Papers Dovecraft, Image Pink Gem Santa, Tree punch and Snowflake punch and the Poinsettia is cut on my Craft robo. I put it together with a gold brad and then I soaked it in water so that I could scrunch it up a wee bit. I haven't done much card making this weekend so I'll have to get my skates on tomorrow and get some birthday cards done. Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Beer drinking Santa for a 19 yr old guy

Hi again, I managed another couple of Christmas cards tonight, one for a 19yr old guy , hence the beer...... and the other one is for a Special Gran and Grandad for my friend Susan in work. It looks so much nicer in real life. It's really difficult to photograph mirri card as you probably know, I don't know how many I took just to get one that didn't glow with the light...

Thanks for stopping by.

Gaelic card.....

Hello again, another card this time for a very patriotic guy who speaks Gaelic. I was asked to put the Gaelic on the card for Congratulations which is on the front and Happy Birthday which is inside...ooops forgot to take a photo.... and either a Saltire, which is what I've used (the Scottish flag ...) or the Lion Rampant. I decided on the Saltire as I thought it was a better colour for the card. People ask me for the strangest cards....lol
I'm on a roll today...catch you later...

Ruby Red.....

Hello everyone, I finally made it back to my craft room to post this card. Ive had a very lazy day today, just couldn't be bothered doing anything, not like me at all.....
My friend Maureen asked if I would make her a 40th Anniversary card for her to give to her Husband. I've used the FF celebration bear, Martha Stewart punch,Oval Nesties inside and out. The white card is satin Water Taffeta effect. The red card has a satin effect and is embossed with hearts all over, It's really lovely,I think you can see it if you zoom in on the inside pic. The ribbon is Dovecraft and the charm is from Craft Creations. The silver 40th was cut on my Craft Robo. The rest is from my stash. I gave her the card last night and she was really pleased with it.
I've got loads to do this weekend so I'd better get on with it, I think I might do a little colouring to get me started. Have a great weekend.

Twilight card...

Mmmm delish Edward Cullen, this is the vampire card I spoke about yesterday. Got it finished last night but never had time to put it on here, so here he is. The birthday girl Danielle is into Vampires and Twilight hence the card. I hope she likes it. At first I thought it was going to be too dark being purple and black, but surprisingly I really liked it . I really enjoyed making this one and I think it's because I was using totally different colours...
All the papers I've had for years in my stash. The flowers are poppicraft. I used Glimmer mist on them but I don't think you can see it very well in the pic. I really like this double image photo I don't think it would have looked as good with just an ordinary picture. Well I'm off to bed now. I'll be back tomorrow with more cards. TTFN

Well I'm off now to do a Vampire card...lol...the delish Edward Cullen from the Twilight series, I really enjoyed sourcing those images...lol.. I'll post it later if I manage to get it finished.

thanks for popping in....

Just Blue........

Hi there I was asked to do a few retirement cards this week and this is the first. Hadn't any ideas at all colour wise, then I saw a beautiful card on Sassy's blog which just gave me the inspiration I was looking for. I loved this shade of blue the minute I saw it. I've been really short of blue papers lately and went hunting through my stash but unfortunately I had nothing suitable. So I made some striped paper on Publisher I staggered the stripes. I quite enjoyed making my own backing paper I must try and get the time to do more....Then I matched up the roses and ribbon, eventually it all came together. So a great big thanks to Sassy . Please go and visit her blog it's really beautiful, her work is so inspiring.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my little corner of blog land.....
