Hi everyone!! hope you are enjoying the weekend. I have a Christmas card tonight to show you, this one is for my friend Dorothy. I followed Sketch # 12 over on Vee's Sketch Pad which is one of Elaine's layouts. I liked this one as soon as I saw it and have been dying to use it. I think it's a fab sketch and I know I will use it often.
I've embossed the panel with CB Snowflake folder and used my Sugar Nellie image Baubles I coloured it with Copics and used oval and circle nesties to mount it. The star charm is from the Hobby House and the snowflakes are all punches of various sizes. I have also covered the whole card with Perfect Pearls to give it a really Christmassy shimmer and then set it with Hair Spray. It totally transforms a plain white card. If you zoom in you may be able to see the fab shimmer. It's a very girly Christmas card....
I've just noticed that Winter Wonderland have an open theme this week so I've entered this card. You really should pop over to their blog and see the DT cards and projects for this week, they are absolutely stunning!!!

This is just adorable. I zoomed in and the shimmer effect is gorgeous. Love the little sparkle detail on the stamp too.

ReplyDeleteVee, this is beautiful. An unusual color for Christmas, for sure, but I am really fond of the purples and lavenders. I also use hair spray to set my glittery stuff, especially when I've used mica sprays I have mixed myself.
ReplyDeleteAnd no, sorry. I didn't actually paint my header. I did use one of the Dover freebie designs and altered it a bit to use.
