First day at School..

Hi ! 2nd post today....OMG haven't been able to do that in ages...lol

This card is a commission for First Day at School card and I was asked to put a Fairy Princess on it. The image I've used was Free in the Cardmaking and Papercraft Mag ages ago but I think you can still download it from their site. There are five Fairy images all in different poses and as they are digi's you can re size them.I coloured it with Copics and Spectrum Noir pens, and blitzed it with Diamond Stickles, Well!! you cant have a Fairly Princess without Fairy dust now can you...?
Papers are downloads from ages ago, the alpha stickers are from Tesco, the school stickers were free also with a mag ages ago and the chip board flowers from the Works.
I hope the little Princess that it's going to enjoys her card.
Thanks for popping into my blog today and I hope you have a safe and happy weekend ahead.

Distress those projects @ Charisma this week.....

Good morning !!!!
This week is the first time you will see Inspiration from the newly revamped Team Gem! and we want to see Distressing on your projects!!
I'm on Carly's team but I just had to have another go at distressing again. It's been ages since I did this technique and I thoroughly enjoyed making this card.

I have used an image from one of our sponsors this week Some Odd Girl the image is called Head in the Clouds, isn't she cute. I coloured her with Copics and Spectrum Noir pens. They blend really well with each other.
Papers are Rose Garden from Papermania, flowers from my stash and I bought that fabulous glitter organza ribbon from a store at Trago Mills in Devon a few weeks ago while on holiday. I got a bit carried away and bought loads of ribbon and trimming, it's very well priced, I was like a kid in a sweet shop....lol
The Pearls are from The Hobby House and the little sentiment is from LOTV (I think!!, can't find the packet...oops)
If you have time please go and see the amazing distressed creations from our lovely Charisma Gals on the challenge blog.

Our lovely Sponsors this time are...

PRIZE ONE

5 digis of the winners choice from the Stamping Boutique!
and.....

PRIZE TWO
digital stamps
Three Digis of the winners choice from Some Odd Girl!!

I'm looking forward to seeing all of your distressed projects this week and hoping to learn a few techniques along the way. One of the many things I love about being on the DT @ Charisma  is that I get to see all of your fab creations and lovely blogs each week.

Anniversary...Cream and Gold.

A closer view of the flowers and the lovely Gold beaded stems.

This Golden Anniversary card is a commission and I was asked to use the couple's wedding photo on the card. After a lot of thought I decided to change the photo in my computer and made it Sepia instead of Black and White as it was originally. It just looked a whole lot better with the cream and gold colours.
The only paper I used is the Happy Anniversary Vellum on the base of the card. The card stock itself has a lovely golden hue to it, but unfortunately the photo of the card doesn't show it at all. Shame really as it looks lovely in real life.
I have used metal corners, and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Lace, ribbon and pearls from my stash
Nesties and Marianne Creatables die cuts
Gold beaded stems from John Lewis

It's been ages since I entered any challenges so with that in mind I had a wee look around and found  three.

(my New is the Beaded Stem and old is my Nesties)
C.R.A.F.T ........Anniversary
(had a problem with Mr Linky on this one so not sure if I'm in the challenge or not)

I have another to make this time for a Ruby wedding, also using a Wedding photo I will show it in the next few days.  Thanks so much for your visit hope you enjoyed being here.

LOTV and my new Spectrum Noir pens.....

I had a wee play with my new Spectrum Noir pens tonight and made this card with a LOTV image called Me and My Cat, isn't she cute !!......the image is from the  ready stamped LOTV stack free with this months Papercraft Inspirations mag. I used DP from Forever Friends Pink Parfait, sentiment from Molly Blooms,Nesties and flowers, buttons and ribbon from my stash.

These pens are the same size as the Copic Sketch and a double ended with a fine tip and a chisel tip. They blend beautifully with Copics and Promarkers and the different shades are really nice. I still LOVE my Copics...lol but this now gives me a few more shades of each colour for blending. I bought four packs of six pens in Pink, Blue, Green and Brown and I'm really pleased with the colours and I got a free little bag to keep them in. You can also buy other packs of pastel shades and other colours but these are the ones I thought I would use most.
I'm off now to colour some more, thanks for popping in it's lovely to have visitors...

LOTV Friends and flowers

Hi there!! The weather yesterday and today has been nothing short of glorious here in Glasgow and I decided to use some lovely bright colours on my card today, it's amazing how a few sunny days can really lift your mood.
Ive used another LOTV image. This time I've cheated a little and used this fab image from the Die Cut Sheet, Friends and Flowers  in case you didn't know these sheets are already coloured and are great if you're in a hurry for a card, I whipped this one up in no time at all. You will find them Here
I think she's so cute and will definitely be getting the stamp. The sentiment is also LOTV and I used My Minds Eye papers. The corners are from Wild Orchid Crafts, Dies used are Nesties and Marianne Creatables. Pearls, flowers and ribbon from my stash. Not made for anything or anyone in particular but I had fun doing it, and that's what crafting is all about.............
Thanks for popping in.

LOTV Cheers!!!

Hi there! I'm back today feeling a lot better but not quite 100% yet. I made this card using the LOTV Cheers Bear. I love this little guy and I'm sure I'll use him a lot. He has been coloured with Copics, no glitter this time as I thought there was enough bling on the DP from My Minds Eye.
Other papers used are Wild Asparagus and Basil basic. I'm not sure where I got the sentiment, and I've added some green bubble stickers to give a 3D look to the card.
If you have time I would love to hear any comments that you may have about this card as I feel it's a wee bit empty. Maybe it's because I've not smothered it in flowers.... lol

Thanks for popping in.

SUNSHINE COLOURS @ CHARISMA

Hi, today's post is short.
Since Hubby and I returned from our long weekend in Plymouth we have both been ill with some sort of bug.Not sure if we picked it up on the flight home or here in Glasgow as we were both fine in Plymouth. The usual sickness and d----- (hate that word) horrendous headache and really painful stomach cramps. William is a bit better now but I've still got the stomach cramps and feel as if a truck has hit me.
Here is my card. This week's theme is SUNSHINE COLOURS.
Thanks for stopping by.

Charisma Cardz..It's in the Stars..

Hi there!  today I have my DT card for Charisma to share with you and the theme is...
I'ts in the STARS
So this week we would like to see some stars on your creations.
The papers I used for this card came from The Raspberry Road collection One Fine Day. They are so lovely. The image is WOJ Melinda Musing and the star stamp I got from QVC in a TSV years ago and I used the masking technique to sit Melinda on the star, both coloured with Copics and Promarkers. The flowers and metalic corner are from Wild Orchid crafts and the ribbon is from my stash.

I went a bit OTT with the stickles glitter....lol... but I like the effect. Well!! a girl needs some bling!!

I hope you will find time to join our challenge this week.
I'm off to Plymouth for a few days to visit my Sister-in-Law and her family, quite a long journey  from Glasgow as we are driving down. We are going with another 6 family members so it should be a fun filled weekend. The others are there for the week but Hubby and I will be flying back on Tuesday so hopefully I'll still have time to leave comments on your amazing creations for this weeks challenge.
Have fun !!
