Vee's Sketch Pad...a new venture....

Hi there, I have just set up a new blog called Vee's Sketch Pad. This is a brand new venture for me and I hope you will all join in and have some fun using my layouts. Remember this is all new to me and I'm sure they're will be a few hitches but I'll do my best to keep it running smoothly.

Don't be shy, if you would like to leave a comment about anything on the site, or let me know about things you would like to see as well as sketches, I would appreciate your input.

Please remember THIS IS NOT A CHALLENGE BLOG . I may at some point in the coming weeks offer a little prize or a little Candy, more details are on the blog. So why not pop over to Vee's Sketch Pad and have a look at my first Sketch for you to play with.

Thanks for popping in and I hope you have a lovely day.

FRIDAY SKETCHERS AND SECRET CRAFTER....

Hi there, I managed to make one card tonight , I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers ....and Secret Crafter Saturday want to see... Cute Bugs..... Well I thought this little guy from Dustin Pike was as cute as you'll get. I coloured him with Copics ( as usual...)and then gave his wings and raindrops some stickles to make them sparkle. The papers are from Craft Inspirations and I did some faux stitching round the edges ( too lazy to set up my sewing machine...) and distressed them a little with Mediterranean blue Brilliance ink pad. The sentiment is from Daisy and Dandelion and the flowers are from Poppicraft. I quite like this one I think it's the colour combo.... blue and green always go well together. I really like this sketch and I'm running Christmas designs through my head using it, so at some point in the next few days you may see me use it again. Thanks a lot for popping in.

A FUN CARD FOR SKETCH SATURDAY.....

Hello again, another card for a girl in work this time it's a new home card. The couple are moving to a flat so i couldn't put a house on the card. I've had this decoupage for years and used it only a few times so I thought it fitted this one. My dear funny hubby came up with this caption I thought it was really good so I added it to create a bit of fun on the card. I love the elephants expression ...........

Ribbon is also Papermania
Flowers are Poppicraft
Key Charm is from Craft Creations

I'm entering this card into the Sketch Saturday Challenge as this is the sketch that I used. Well I'm off to bed now work in the morning, Though I won't be able to switch my brain off for ages, always happens on Sunday nights....lol.. Where does the weekend go?

A LITTLE FROGGY DOODLE....

I've been drawing and doodling today, not something I do very often but I was just in the mood today and this little frog is the result. He is loosely based on a ceramic frog I have in my garden but he's a bit more grotesque looking... so I decided to pretty him up a little...lol. I gave him big cute eyes and big spots and a cute grin. He's coloured with Copics. I started off with a pencil drawing then I fine tuned it and went over it with a fine liner. Scanned the image and reduced the size until I was happy that it would fit my oval nesties.

Hope you like him.... I'd love to hear your comments good or bad as I've never done this before, usually when I draw it's more sketchy than this.
